Um homem velho, que sabia que seu tempo tava quase acabando, chamou os seus filhos pro lado de sua cama pra ensinar a eles uma última lição.
Ele disse a um servo para trazer um feixe de gravetos. Então, ele entregou o feixe para o seu filho mais velho e disse, “Quebre!”
O filho tentou com toda a sua força, mas ele não conseguia quebrar o feixe. Um por um, os outros filhos tentaram também, mas nenhum deles teve sucesso.

An old man, who knew his time was almost over, called his sons to his bedside to give them one last lesson.
He told a servant to bring a bundle of sticks. Then he handed the bundle to his oldest son and said, “Break it.”
The son tried with all his strength, but he couldn’t break the bundle. One by one, the other sons tried as well, but none of them succeeded.

The project succeeded because of the efforts of everyone. (The project was successful because of everyone’s efforts.)
